A few weekends ago I was hanging out with my friend’s cat, a Russian Blue named Vladimir (aka Vladi). He had fallen asleep on the window sill which gave him some nice ambient, natural, window light. I couldn’t resist, I had to photograph him! Unfortunately, all I had was my blackberry but that didn’t stop me! I pulled it out and clicked away … check out the slideshow here:

It is also a great place for events with its lakeview banquet hall, it makes it a charming and romantic place to celebrate any occasion.

I had the opportunity to assist my friend Thanh of Next G Photography on one of his model shoots. There were four models, 1 makeup artist (Sherry Restifo) and 1 hair stylist (Ky Washington). I captured some behind the scenes’ photos:

Billings 3 – Essential Mac App for Creative Professionals

I have been looking for a decent mac software to keep track of my invoicing, billing and projects because I really do not like Quickbooks! For the past few months, I tried several other similar softwares but nothing seem to be exactly what I wanted until I came across a blog on Lifehacker. I was checking the comments section and someone mentioned Billings. So I went over to their site, downloaded the trial, and absolutely love it. I was too excited about my discovery that I decided to post about it.

I recommend this software to any creative professional but it works for anyone who has different projects going on at the same time or charges an hourly rate because it allows you to time yourself while you are working on different projects (very cool feature!!). It’s so easy to send out estimates, invoices and receipts because it works directly with your Mail App. They have a great video that highlights its wonderful capabilities here. So don’t take my word for it and try it out yourself!

Photo Retouch: Baby Blue Eyes

I have been working on trying to perfect my glamour eyeball technique so a good photographer friend of mine, Sohee, let me use some of her images to practice this technique. It was a picture of an adorable baby boy with beautiful blue eyes. I used my technique to enhance the whole portrait to make it more riveting:
